The Symbolize of MONPERA (Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat)

 This building located in downtown precisely Glorious Mosque ( Masjid Agung ). The location before now encountersn bases Five Days Five Nights. First stone long and stake of building pillar on 17 August 1975 and openedon February 23 1988 by Heroic Menko Kesra Alamsyah Ratu. This Monument State is developed as memory of struggle of people of South Sumatera when opponent of colonist clan at a period of physical revolution which is encounter Five Days Five Nights in Palembang of Dutch opponent.

The first stone is like is a large elephant tusk (the interior of Sumatra forest-dwelling animals, red) marble signed by Menko Kesra Alamsyah Ratu. Like the proverbial "dead elephant ivory leaves", ivory signifies the struggle heroes who died leaving the dharma of his devotion to the country and nation. Ivory is directed symmetrically with Garuda emblem looks great on Monpera. Mean that the independence, the capital of the nation's development.

General shape of the building resembles jasmine five valvate. And pure white symbolizes the struggle of the hero. Building height to 17 feet, front track reached number eight, while the number of track and field at 45 represents the time of proclamation of independence.

There are also concrete built upward on both sides, as well as the main building. Each side built three to nine lines. Defined as "Batanghari nine". The number of nine children of South Sumatra drain which empties into the river Musi.
